When are the upcoming examination schedules announced?
Answer: Examination schedules are typically announced on the directorate’s website 2 weeks before the start of the semester. Please refer to the Examination Calendar section for specific dates.
How can I access my examination results?
Answer: Examination results can be accessed through the Student Portal on the university website. You will need to log in using your student ID and password to view your results.
What should I do if I have a scheduling conflict with my examination timetable?
Answer: If you have a scheduling conflict with your examination timetable, please contact the chair of the department, the exam coordinators, or the coordinator of the university as soon as possible. Find contacts on our website.
What are the guidelines for examination conduct?
Answer: Guidelines for examination conduct, including rules regarding academic integrity, prohibited items, and penalties for each offense, can be found in the students’ handbook. The examination policy and guidelines are available on our website.
Can I apply for a special exam due to a lack of fees?
Answer: No. A student is only allowed to apply for special exams in emergency cases such as sickness, bereavement, etc. A proof of emergency must be produced.
Can I sit for a supplementary exam during a main exam?
Answer: No. A student must apply and sit for supplementary exams when they are offered. Currently, supplementary exams are offered in August.
I deferred my studies. Can I apply for a special exam as a result of a deferment?
Answer: No. When a student defers his/her studies, they will resume the semester where they left off.
Are there any resources available to help me prepare for examinations?
Answer: Yes, we provide resources such as past exam papers to the Examination Resources section in the University Library.
I failed a main exam. I feel like doing a retake. Can I apply for a retake without having to do a supplementary exam?
Answer: No. A student can only be eligible to do a retake after they have failed a supplementary exam.
What should I do if I encounter technical difficulties during an online examination?
Answer: If you encounter technical difficulties during an online examination, please contact the Directorate of Open and Distance Learning (ODEL) immediately for assistance. We have dedicated support staff to help resolve any issues promptly.
