On 9th April 2026, the Chairman of Council, Prof. Stanley Khainga and the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Peter Mwita, met with the Transition Committee overseeing the establishment of the College of Health Science at Vokoli. The meeting reviewed the outcomes of the successful Public Participation exercise held on 27th March 2026 and deliberated on the proposed handover of the Vokoli infrastructure to Kaimosi Friends University (KAFU).
