Today marked a pivotal moment for Kaimosi Friends University (KAFU) as we welcomed the management from KenyanNurse consulting company, a premier nursing and health consultancy firm, for important talks on collaboration.

“The need for our university to expand our nursing program is urgent, and we believe that collaboration and partnership will be the key to overcoming these limitations. We are confident that working together with KenyanNurse will accelerate our growth and enable us to better serve the students who are pursuing nursing and related health courses” said the Acting Vice Chancellor Prof. Peter Mwita.

The university is committed to nurturing future health professionals who will make a difference in the world. However, as the demand for nursing education grows, the need for expansion and resources has become increasingly clear. Today, the university’s leadership expressed their concerns about the limitations posed by current funding but emphasized their unwavering commitment to growth.

KenyanNurse, known for its comprehensive professional training programs and expertise in overseas relocation for nurses and doctors, engaged the management and discussed with KAFU's leadership to forge a partnership aimed at advancing the university’s rapidly growing nursing program.

The university has already made strides in building valuable partnerships with various hospitals, enhancing the practical learning opportunities for its students. The management team, however, sees this new partnership with KenyanNurse as the next step in ensuring that KAFU’s School of Health Sciences remains at the forefront of health education.

“We are a community that values collaboration and the sharing of expertise, and we firmly believe that this partnership will have a lasting positive impact on our students.” Said Prof. Mwita.

The university’s administration expressed no doubt that the collaboration would create significant benefits for the students, particularly those in the School of Health Sciences, who will gain access to both cutting-edge training programs and opportunities for international placements.

“We hope that the process of formalizing our partnership through an MOU will not take long to implement so that our students are eager to tap into the wealth of knowledge and opportunities that KenyanNurse has to offer, and we are equally excited about the long-term benefits this collaboration will bring.” Said Prof. Mwita.

In today’s discussions at Kaimosi Friends University (KAFU), the Managing Director of KenyanNurse, Mr. Paul Simiyu, highlighted the urgent need to bring more opportunities to Kenyan nurses, both locally and internationally.
