Dr. Caroline Mulinya holds a PhD in Climatology Geography) from Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology (2017)), Masters of Arts in Geography(Climatology) from the University of Nairobi (2006) and a B.Ed ( Arts) in Geography from Moi University, (1999.) Currently serving as Director in charge of Academic linkages, partnerships and international Relations and Senior Lecturer of Geography (Climatology and climate change Sciences). She has previously served as Chairperson of Geography Department at Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology and as Examination coordinator for the Department of Geography. Has been Zone Coordinator in charge of School Practice in Busia and Butere Zones. 
 Previously worked as a Research Scientist for Kenya Industrial and Development Institute (KIRDI), Research Assistant for IUCN and GEF and Consultant for IGAD (Intergovernmental authority in Development). Taught Geography at High school levels in several schools in Kenya. 
 Dr. Mulinya has been involved in various research projects such as Water harvesting in the Karamoja cluster area funded by The African Development Bank (ADFB) in IGAD Region. Tropical Stream Ecology: Spatiotemporal Variability in Habitat Characteristics and macroinvertebrate Communities in River Isiukhu, Kenya funded by the TWAS PROJECT GRANT. Developing Training Manual on Climate Change Reporting for Journalists and Media networks funded by PACJA (Pan African Climate Justice Alliance. She is a member of Kenya Climate Change Working Group (KCCWG). She is currently the Vice Chair of KCCWG and National Convenor of the Science and Negotiation Thematic Group of KCCWG. 
 On Social Responsibility, she has served as Director and Chairperson and member of several high school Boards. She is a mentor of high school students in STEM, a Project sponsored by UNESCO. She has served as the Catholic Student Association patron at MMUST anis d currently at KAIMOSI FRIENDS UNIVERSITY. She has supervised and examined several postgraduate students and attended conferences and seminars.
