Damianus Okaka is a Senior Lecturer in the department of Accounts and Finance. He is currently theAg, Director Enterprise and Resource Mobilization at KAFU. He is the program leader of Bachelorsand PhD Programs in the School of Business and Economics (SOBE). As a program leader he is currently leading the development of new bachelors programs at the school. He is also the SOBErepresentative in Graduate School.
Research Interests
His research areas include financial risk management and investment management. He is currentlyconcentrating his research attention on healthcare financing equity. He is concerned with the nexus between healthcare financing approaches and their impact on health outcomes. He is particularly interested on the how different financing approaches enhance or impede access to needed healthcare and whether increased access translates to better health outcomes. He is also interested on how different financing mechanisms contribute to both access and quality of healthcare and whether there is a direct path linking access to, and quality of healthcare to health outcomes.
