Prof. Monari shared insights from his leadership experience, highlighting the need for deliberate policy frameworks to anchor internationalization within university governance. He noted that global engagement is not a luxury but a necessity for relevance in today’s interconnected education ecosystem.

“Universities must embed internationalization through curriculum design, research partnerships, and cross-border networks, as a young university, this is an area we should build a pipeline that starts with research, incubation and commercialization.” Said Prof. Monari.

In her address, Ms. Kabaya outlined education-sector opportunities available through Canadian partnerships. She encouraged Kaimosi Friends University to explore academic exchange programmes, and collaborative research aligned with sustainable development goals. She further stressed the potential for cultural and linguistic exchange programs, particularly leveraging Kiswahili and African languages in global education markets.
