Kaimosi Friends University Bolsters Fleet with Second Executive Bus Acquisition

Kaimosi Friends University has further enhanced its transportation capabilities with the acquisition of a new 67-seater Isuzu executive bus. This latest addition follows closely on the heels of a 51-seater executive bus acquired in March, marking a significant investment by the university in improving mobility for its rapidly growing student body and staff.

The new 67-seater bus, like its predecessor, is fully equipped with modern amenities like Wifi, charging ports, TV and designed to provide comfort and efficiency for passengers. This strategic expansion of KAFU's fleet aims to address the increasing demand for reliable and convenient transportation services within the university community.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Peter Mwita hands over the logbook for KAFU's new 67-seater Isuzu bus to Deputy Vice-Chancellor Prof. Thomas Kipkurgat, officially commissioning the vehicle for university use.

The Vice Chancellor Prof. Peter Mwita highlighted the importance of these acquisitions in supporting both academic and extracurricular activities. He said that the university has experienced significant growth in recent years, leading to increased logistical challenges in student and staff movement.

"We believe this bus will greatly enhance the overall student experience and we are commitment to investing in infrastructure that supports a conducive learning environment for our students.” Said Prof. Mwita.

The new buses are expected to alleviate these concerns by offering more convenient travel options for daily commutes, as well as serving as reliable transport for academic trips, field studies, and other university-related events.

Both the 51-seater and the new 67-seater Isuzu buses feature air conditioning, spacious seating, and other modern conveniences to ensure passenger comfort. University officials have assured that the buses will operate on schedules designed to accommodate the diverse needs of students and staff, further improving accessibility to the institution.

The acquisition of these two executive buses from Isuzu Company is part of a broader initiative by Kaimosi Friends University to upgrade its campus facilities and ensure comprehensive support for its academic community. This proactive approach underscores KAFU's dedication to its ongoing development and the enhancement of mobility for everyone within its vibrant community.
