A total of 103 students, teachers, and community members in Kisasi Village in Tiriki East Sub County are now seeing the world more clearly thanks to an impactful free eye screening and eyeglasses distribution outreach conducted by Optometry students from Kaimosi Friends University's School of Health Sciences.
The life-changing exercise which was held today at Kisasi Primary School entailed eye screening and eyeglasses distribution outreach and it wasn't just another event but it was a pivotal moment for the Kisasi community.

The initiative saw dedicated Optometry students provide comprehensive eye examinations, identify visual impairments, and distribute eyeglasses to those in need. Rolnald Chemwovo the head teacher of Kisasi Primary School conveyed his profound gratitude to the management of Kaimosi Friends University. Mr. Chemwovo highlighted the significant benefits the program brought to both their students and the wider community.
He emphasized that many learners had been struggling with their eyesight, which directly affected their educational progress noting that the intervention would bring about a substantial positive change. He conveyed his optimism regarding the constructive influence the university is having on the surrounding neighborhood.
