Third-year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) students Gertrude Ogada (Literature) and Chrispanus Maikuva (Education Science) were last Friday night crowned Miss and Mr KAFUCO in a beauty pageant which marked the climax of the three-day Tamasha cultural festival
Ms Ogada beat 9 other models in five closely contested categories to clinch the crown. Mr. Maikuva faced off with five other contestants.
The colourful ceremony kicked off with curtain-raising parades from models from other institutions, including mother University – Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology, and neighbours Friends College Kaimosi.
Full-figured and curvy hockey pro, Sharubeth Aseyo, a Social Work student was crowned Miss Curvy as toned Joshua Kabila took Mr Flex on muscular outlook.
Tamasha offered the students a welcome break ahead of end of semester examinations which commence on April 4, 2022.
The activity-laden festival is an opportunity for the Student Welfare to support talent.
