Aligning Education with Industry: Kaimosi Friends University’s Curriculum Revamp

In a move to ensure graduates possess cutting-edge and relevant skills, Kaimosi Friends University,  School of Business and Economics has initiated a comprehensive review of its academic curriculum. The review aims to align educational offerings with the rapid advancements in knowledge, technology, and the evolving demands of society and modern industry.

The curriculum review workshop, held at an Boma location in Eldoret, was spearheaded by Deputy Vice-Chancellor in charge of Academic, Student Affairs and Research Prof. Fred  Amimo, representing the Vice-Chancellor.

Prof. Amimo emphasized the university's unwavering commitment to adhering to the standards set forth by the Commission for University Education. He stressed the critical importance of developing curricula that are not only robust and up-to-date but also directly address the evolving needs of various industries.

The Deputy Vice-Chancellor in charge of Administration, Planning, Finance, and Development, Prof. Thomas Kipkurgat, echoed this sentiment, underscoring the university's dedication to producing high-quality graduates who can readily contribute to the nation's economic development. He reiterated the institution's focus on ensuring that the academic programs remain relevant and competitive in the current job market.
