KAFU Ignites Dreams with Back-to-Back Career Events in Migori County

Kaimosi Friends University has demonstrated a profound commitment to guiding the academic and professional journeys of students in Nyanza region, culminating in two impactful Career Day events held on Saturday and Sunday in Migori County. These initiatives collectively reached thousands of high school students, providing invaluable insights into higher education and future career paths.

Yesterday, Kaimosi Friends University kicked off its outreach by participating in Career Day events at St. Mary’s Girls Mabera High School and Moi Suba Girls Secondary School in Migori County. The university's dedicated team spent the day engaging with students, offering comprehensive information about the diverse courses available at Kaimosi Friends University, spanning fields from education and business to science and technology. The aim was to showcase the vast possibilities that determination and the right support can unlock.

Dr. Fred Nyambane, a representative from Kaimosi Friends University, articulated the university's broader mission during the sessions. The events were met with enthusiasm from both students and teachers, with many students reporting increased motivation and clarity regarding their post-secondary school options. Teachers commended Kaimosi Friends University's efforts, recognizing the significant role such visits play in empowering students to make informed decisions about their futures

"Our mission goes beyond just academics; we want to help young people believe in their potential and see university as something within reach. I encourage you to put more efforts on your studies as you are the future leaders that will make our country prosperous,“ Dr. Nyambane added.

Building on this momentum, Kaimosi Friends University utilized the Madaraka Day holiday to host an even more comprehensive Career Day event at Kanga School, also in Migori County.

This significant initiative drew participation from over 50 schools across five Western Kenyan counties: Migori, Kisumu, Homa Bay, Kisii, Kakamega, Vihiga and Busia. More than 3,000 students attended the day-long program, which notably included a chemistry contest, adding an interactive dimension to the guidance provided.

Kaimosi Friends University representatives leveraged this extensive platform to offer crucial career guidance, helping students navigate the complexities of higher education and future employment. Dr. Nyambane, reiterated the importance of academic dedication, emphasizing that education is the foundation of success.

"In the current economic landscape, education serves as a fundamental pillar for unlocking opportunities, I encourage you to put more efforts on your studies as you are the future leaders that will make our country prosperous, you all have a bright future, just focus on your studies and give the best that you can and you will be victorious." Said Dr. Nyambane.

Mrs. Gaudenzia Auma from the university's admissions office provided detailed insights into Kaimosi Friends University's diverse academic programs and their respective entry requirements, specifically encouraging students to excel in science and mathematics due to their significance across various career paths.
