On July 23, 2024, Kaimosi Friends University hosted an online meeting with the new freshmen and women for the 2024/2025 academic year, who are set to report to KAFU on September 2, 2024. The virtual meeting was graced by the Acting Deputy Vice Chancellor for Academic, Student Affairs, and Research (DVC ASA&R), Prof. Julius Kipkemboi. He also conveyed greetings from the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Peter Mwita, who was away on other official engagements.

The meeting was attended by officers from HELB, Jiunge Payment Platform, University Funding, Deans of Schools, the Academic Registrar, Directors, and other heads of sections. Prof. Kipkemboi congratulated and welcomed the young scholars for choosing KAFU, the "spring of knowledge," as their university of choice. He promised them an exciting academic journey as they prepared to join the university in a month's time. He encouraged them to embrace the opportunity, highlighting the many academic programs offered across five schools: Sciences, Health Sciences, Education and Social Sciences, Computing and Information Technology, and Business and Economics.

Dr. Amunga, the Academic Registrar, guided the new learners through the admission program, reporting dates, necessary documents to be completed before reporting, procedures for changing faculties, and other university requirements and deadlines for various activities. Mr. Emmanuel Abook from University Funding explained the new university funding model and guided the freshers on how to apply for loans.

The five academic Deans provided an overview of the programs offered in their respective schools, promising a conducive academic environment. Finally, Dr. Okwako, the Dean of Students, elaborated on the various support activities the university offers, including accommodation, sports and games, drama, guidance and counseling, health facilities, and career services.
