Dr. Samuel Wamalwa Munda is an accomplished educationist, scholar, and university lecturer with over 25 years of progressive experience in teaching, education management, and higher education administration. He is currently a lecturer in the Department of Education Foundations, Psychology and Management at Kaimosi Friends University (KAFU). His holds a PhD in Economics and Management of Education from Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST), a Master of Education in Education Management, and a Bachelor of Education (Science) both from Egerton University. His educational journey reflects a deep commitment to advancing knowledge in leadership, policy, planning, and quality assurance in education.
Over the course of his career, Dr. Munda has held significant leadership and administrative roles. He taught in secondary schools, rising to Head of Department in Bokoli and Khasoko high schools before transitioning into higher education. He served as and Senior Administrative Assistant and Assistant Registrar at Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology and later as a Senior Assistant Registrar at Kaimosi Friends University. These roles sharpened his expertise in institutional governance, policy implementation, risk management, and strategic educational planning. His professional growth has also been enhanced through specialized training in corporate governance, risk management, and quality assurance in teaching and learning.
In addition to his administrative and teaching roles, Dr. Munda has made notable scholarly contributions through research and publications in reputable journals. His research interests focus on quality assurance in higher education, institutional facilities, students’ learning experiences, assessment practices, and the economics of education. He has co-authored scholarly articles that provide evidence-based insights into educational management. With this strong blend of scholarship, leadership, and administrative experience, Dr. Munda continues to play a pivotal role in promoting educational excellence, institutional development, and impactful research
