Dr. Emily Mokeira Okwemba is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Business and Economics at Kaimosi Friends University. She holds a PhD in Business Administration from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT). She also earned her Master's degree in Business Administration, specializing in strategic management, from JKUAT. Her academic background includes a postgraduate diploma in business management from the Kenya Institute of Management and a bachelor's degree in special education from Kenyatta University.

Prior to her career in academia, Dr. Okwemba gained over 10 years of experience in bank operations at KCB Bank and Cooperative Bank of Kenya. This practical experience, combined with more than a decade of teaching and research, makes her a distinguished strategic management lecturer with a strategic planning bias.

Dr. Okwemba has served as the former Chair of Strategy and Planning at Kaimosi Friends University. She has also participated in strategic planning and development for organizations such as Golf Hotel Kakamega and the county government of Kakamega. Her expertise in planning and management is particularly impactful in the prudent management of finances.
