Kaimosi Friends University has today penned down a Memorandum of Understanding with Scholar Media Africa a publishing house that presents its audience with exclusive, factual, insightful and timely stories on health, education and agribusiness.

Gracing the signing ceremony was the Vice Chancellor Kaimosi Friends University Prof. Mwita Peter, Deputy Vice chancellor Administration, Finance and Planning prof. Thomas Kipkurgat, Mr. Elijah Nyaanga-Scholar Media Africa founder and Chief Executive Officer, Director Quality Assurance Dr. Nurwin Fozia and Registrar Academics and Student Affairs Dr. Amunga Jane.
In his remarks, the Vice Chancellor Prof. Mwita commended the scholar media for the impactful work it has carried out over the last eleven years, noting that the MoU serves as a bold step Kaimosi Friends University has taken to strengthen its visibility.

“As an institution, we want to be more visible to the international students, our objective is to increase the number of international scholars at Kaimosi Friends University,” he added.
Speaking during the ceremony, Mr. Elijah Nyaanga acknowledged the essence of scholar media in pioneering for positive and promotive stories of learning institutions. Echoing Prof. Mwita’s sentiments, he underscored the importance of the partnership expressing his wish for Kaimosi Friends University ’s growth through it
“Scholar media was founded to address the void in stories told over time, an initiative aiming to tell success stories and motivate our target audience”, said Nyaanga.

Mr. Nyaanga also revealed that the Scholar Media Africa is working towards opening a Scholar Media global academy that would offer a Students Empowerment Programme (SEP) targeting young individuals aged 14-35 years. He stated that the training will provide training, mentorship and scholarship opportunities, while also serving as a platform to help the youth grappling with unemployment issues, citing severe cases of depression among graduands.
The signing of this MoU affirms the universities commitment towards strengthening its marketing and visibility initiative therefore advancing its vision of becoming a world class university in teaching, research and innovation.
