KAFU Shines at Wajir Madaraka Exhibition Week

This week, at Wagberi Primary School in Wajir County, Kaimosi Friends University is strengthening its position as a center of innovation, research and digital transformation, during the ongoing 2026 Madaraka Day Education Week Exhibition.

The University’s exhibition stand at Wagberi Primary School Grounds has attracted high-profile visitors including the Principal Secretary for Higher Education Dr. Beatrice Inyangala, the Principal Secretary for TVET Dr. Esther Muoria and Acting TSC Chief Executive Officer Evaleen Mitei, who toured the stand and interacted with the University team while exploring the innovations on display.

Among the highlights drawing significant attention are the BioGel and Sanitary Pad Innovations by Bonface Jeveri, alongside the KAFU University Chatbot, an innovation that continues to demonstrate the University’s growing footprint in ICT, digital transformation and solution-oriented research.

The innovations have continued to attract learners, educators, policymakers and members of the public visiting the exhibition grounds, with many expressing interest in the practical impact of the solutions being developed by KAFU researchers and students.

The University’s participation has not only amplified its visibility on the national stage but has also showcased the growing role of universities in addressing societal challenges through research, technology and sustainable innovations.

The University delegation, led by Prof. Kelvin Omieno on behalf of Vice Chancellor Prof. Peter Mwita, continues to position KAFU as a hub of innovation, youth talent and community-centered solutions aligned with Kenya’s development agenda.

His Excellency President William Samoei Ruto is expected to visit the exhibition booths ahead of the national Madaraka Day celebrations scheduled for 1st June 2026 at Wajir Stadium.
