KAFU Hosts Salisbury University Exchange

Kaimosi Friends University is presently hosting a delegation of students and professors from Salisbury University in Maryland, USA, as part of an academic exchange program aimed at enriching the educational experience at KAFU.

Comprising 21 students and three professors, the group, led by Prof. Fulbert Namwamba, an expert in Geography and Geosciences, is on a two-week academic visit to broaden their global perspectives in their respective fields. The SU students specialize in Nursing, Social Work, Environmental Science, Earth Science, and Geography. Those in Nursing and Social Work will be welcomed by the School of Health Sciences at KAFU for an exploration of the training model and clinical sites, gaining valuable insights into the field in which KAFU is carving a niche. The entire group will also have the opportunity to meet and interact with KAFU students during this period.

In addition to the student exchange, Prof. Namwamba will join KAFU's faculty for a six-month sabbatical leave following the conclusion of the visit, further enriching the academic environment at the university.

This collaborative initiative aligns with the general memorandum of understanding established between Kaimosi Friends University and Salisbury University. The University Management, led by the acing Vice Chancellor Prof. Ogodo, M.J. Nandi, warmly received the visiting team. Prof. Nandi expressed confidence that such collaborations would reinforce KAFU's fundamental mission of teaching, training, and research. This academic exchange program is a testament to KAFU's commitment to fostering international partnerships for the betterment of its academic community.
