Founder & Leader of Nursing Program at KAFU As Chairperson of the Department of Nursing since 2021, Dr. Okanga spearheaded the establishment and growth of the nursing program at Kaimosi Friends University, shaping curriculum development, clinical partnerships, and academic standards.
Dr. Okanga has published extensively across thematic areas focused on adolescents, youth, and young adults, addressing issues such as performance in nursing education, social adjustments in higher education settings, mentorship, adolescent reproductive health, maternal health. Her recent studies have been on alcohol and drug use among university students. She has authored and co-authored over a dozen peer-reviewed journal articles influencing nursing education and public health policy
