University Fraternity Bids Farewell to Student Ibrahim Mwikwabe Kabachi

The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Peter Mwita, on 4th April 2026, led the University fraternity in paying their final respects to student Ibrahim Mwikwabe Kabachi, who was laid to rest at his home in Makerero Ward, Kuria West Constituency, Migori County.

The solemn burial ceremony brought together family members, friends, University staff and students, all united in grief and remembrance of a life gone too soon. The occasion was marked by deep reflection, prayers and messages of comfort to the bereaved family.

Vice Chancellor, Prof. Peter Mwita, pays his final tribute to the late Ibrahim Mwikwabe Kabachi during the burial ceremony in Migori County.

In his tribute, Prof. Mwita described Ibrahim as a humble and dedicated student whose presence within the University community had left a lasting impression.

“We have gathered here not only to bid farewell to one of our own, but also to stand with Ibrahim’s family during this moment of great loss. His passing is deeply felt across the entire University community,” said Prof. Mwita.
