Historic moment as Kaimosi Friends University is earmarked to host Africa Public Service Day 2026.

Today, April 1st, Kaimosi Friends University hosted a team of technical officers from the State Department for Public Service and Human Capital Development, for a high-level technical assessment visit. The visit follows a formal proposal for the institution to host the Africa Public Service Day 2026 celebrations.

The delegation from the State Department, was received by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Peter Mwita, alongside members of the university management. The team proceeded on a comprehensive tour of the KAFU main campus to assess critical infrastructure and amenities required to successfully host the event. During the inspection, key facilities including conference halls, accommodation capacity, accessibility, security, and ICT infrastructure were evaluated.

The technical team expressed strong confidence in Kaimosi Friends University’s ability to host the Africa Public Service Day, citing the institution’s adequate and well-developed amenities, as well as its strategic location.

Addressing the delegation, Vice Chancellor Prof. Peter Mwita reaffirmed the university’s readiness and commitment to collaborate with the State Department to ensure the successful hosting of the event. He noted that KAFU has consistently demonstrated its capacity to host high-profile events and is fully prepared to meet and exceed expectations. He further emphasized the university’s vision of positioning itself as a hub for academic excellence, innovation, and regional engagement.
