Dr. P. M. Makokha is a Lecturer in the Department of Social Sciences. He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology from Kenyatta University; a Master of Arts Degree in Rural Sociology & Community Development from the University of Nairobi; and a Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Social Work from The Catholic University of East Africa. He has taught at the University level for the last 12 years; 6 years as a Part-time Lecturer, and 6 years as a Full-time Lecturer. He is a Gold Member of two professional bodies, namely: the Kenya Institute of Social Work, and the Association for Community Development Practitioners-Kenya. He has attended several workshops, seminars and conferences both locally and internationally. At Kaimosi Friends University, he is in charge of several initiatives such as the National Tree Growing Restoration Campaign.
