Programme Overview

A two-year advanced degree designed to deepen expertise in economic theory, quantitative analysis, and policy application. The program equips students with analytical tools for addressing complex economic and financial challenges at national, regional, and global levels. Emphasis is placed on research, data-driven decision-making, and practical problem-solving, preparing graduates for leadership roles in academia, industry, and policy institutions.

Entry Requirements

Bachelor’s degree with 2nd class honors upper division in the relevant field OR Bachelor’s degree with lower division in the relevant field with at least (2) years relevant experience OR Bachelor’s degree as above with a postgraduate Diploma in a relevant field

  • Advanced Economic Theory & Quantitative Methods: Mastery of microeconomics, macroeconomics, and econometrics.
  • Applied Research & Policy Analysis: Strong focus on empirical studies and evidence-based recommendations.
  • Specialization Options: Fields such as Development Economics, Financial Economics, Environmental Economics, Agricultural Economics and International Trade.
  • Practical Engagement: Industry seminars, and case studies.
  • Research Thesis: Original research addressing real-world economic issues
