1. General Admission Requirements
To qualify for a Bachelor’s Degree program at KAFU, applicants must meet the minimum general and specific program requirements.

| Direct Entry (KCSE) | A Minimum Mean Grade of C+ (Plus) in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exam. |
| Diploma Holders | A relevant Diploma from a recognized institution for direct entry into the second or third year of study, depending on the program. |
Important Note on Specific Requirements: The general requirement is just the starting line! Every program has specific cluster and subject requirements that must be met. For example:
- Bachelor of Education (Arts): Minimum Mean Grade of C+ at KCSE AND at least C+ in each of the two teaching subjects.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing: Minimum Mean Grade C+ at KCSE AND at least C+ in English or Kiswahili, Biology or Biological Sciences, Chemistry, and Mathematics or Physics.
- Bachelor of Commerce: Minimum Mean Grade C+ at KCSE AND at least C (Plain) in Mathematics/Business Studies and C (Plain) in English/Kiswahili.

3. Application Procedure
Applying for an undergraduate program at KAFU can be done either online or manually.
A. Online Application (Recommended – Via Jiunge):
- Visit the official KAFU admissions portal or the Jiunge platform (kafu.jiunge.com).
- Sign up and create your account.
log in, navigate to the program application section, and select your desired course. - Pay the non-refundable application fee directly through the platform (usually via Jiunge App).
B. Manual Application:
- Download and print the APPLICATION FORM FOR ADMISSION TO BACHELORS DEGREE PROGRAMMES (UNDERGRADUATE) from the KAFU website.
- Fill out the form completely and accurately.
- Pay the non-refundable application fee (typically KES 1,000 but check for the latest amount) via the Jiunge App/E-Citizen.
- Submit the completed form, required documents, and proof of payment to the Registrar (Academic Affairs) office.
Key Application Documents
When applying, you will generally need to attach:
- Copies of your KCSE Certificate/Result Slip (or equivalent qualification).
- Copy of your National ID or Birth Certificate.
- The completed Undergraduate Application Form.
- Proof of payment for the non-refundable application fee.
You can also be placed through the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS).
