PROF. FRED A. AMIMO
The Academic, Student Affairs and Research Division is headed by a Deputy Vice Chancellor who reports to the Vice Chancellor. The division is responsible for developing and implementing academic programs, managing research, and overseeing students’ welfare. In addition to education and training, its mandate includes research and linkages. The units under this division encompass the five academic schools: Science, Health Sciences, Education and Social Sciences, Business and Economics, and Computing and Informatics. It also includes the Office of the Registrar Academic Affairs, the University Library, Open Distance and e-Learning (ODeL), Research, Innovation and Outreach, University Linkages and Career Services, and the Office of the Dean of Students.

Our mission is to educate a future global workforce and inspire staff and students to participate actively in solving societal problems and to serve community with diligence.

To provide quality education that will contribute to holistic transformation through teaching founded on knowledge, skills and attitude and provide excellent student services while conducting cutting edge problem-oriented research and innovating to meet the needs of a dynamic society

- To effectively coordinate the management of examinations
- To enhance academic processes by operationalizing all Quality Management Systems processes and procedures
- To enhance research innovations
- To increase collaborations and linkages with industry and business
What We do
- Prepare, deliver and regularly review curricula in line with rules and regulations governing the implementation of academic programmes.
- Formulation and provision of policy guidelines on planning, development and management of academic programmes.
- Overseeing the administration of students and management of students’ welfare services in the University.
- Support research, innovation and community outreach.
