Strengthening Religious Inclusivity Through Dialogue and Student Engagement

In a bid to uphold its commitment to diversity and inclusion, on 13th April 2026, the Muslim Students Community at Kaimosi Friends University engaged with Council Member, Mr. Yussuf Kala. The meeting provided a platform for meaningful dialogue on student welfare and the promotion of a supportive, inclusive campus environment.

Speaking during the meeting, Mr. Kala commended the Muslim students for their exemplary discipline and positive contribution to university life. He reassured the students of the Council’s commitment to addressing their concerns and supporting their welfare.

“I am impressed by the level of discipline you continue to demonstrate on campus. You are playing an important role in strengthening the values and cohesion of this University community,” stated Mr. Yussuf.

Key discussions centered on welfare issues, with particular emphasis on the provision of adequate and accessible worship spaces, in line with the University’s commitment to accommodating the diverse religious needs of all students.

The Deputy Vice Chancellor for Administration, Finance, Planning and Development, Prof. Thomas Kipkurgat, echoed these sentiments and praised the students for their conduct. He added that the University is dedicated to fostering inclusivity and ensuring that every student feels valued and supported, regardless of their background or faith.

. “Your discipline and organization are commendable and they contribute significantly to a peaceful and respectful campus environment,” said Prof. Kipkurgat.
